Switching Gateway

The menu structure of ASIS is organized in Gateways depending on the access right of the user. Below we will look at how to access each gateway.

The switch navigation icon

The switch icon can be found at the top right navigation bar. And is used for switch between different gateways. This will be referred to in the next sections below

The School Gateway

The School Gateway is only available to account users who are school administrators or have been added by a school administrator as a school account user. This includes school accountants, facility managers, store managers, etc. But EXCLUDES teachers, parents and mentors unless the user performs the above-listed roles in addition to being a teacher.

To access the School Gateway follow the steps below:

  1. From the top navigation icons, click on the Switch icon.
  2. Select School from the dropdown list to open the list of active schools you have access to.
  3. Click on a school from the list of schools to switch to the School Gateway for the selected school.
  4. Repeat the steps above to switch to another school if you have access to multiple schools.

NOTE: If the School option is missing from the dropdown list in Step two (2), it means that you do not have access to any active school, contact your school administrator.

The Teacher Gateway

The Teacher Gateway is available to only course teachers and other course-assisting teachers.

To access the Teacher Gateway follow the steps below:

  1. From the top navigation icons, click on the Switch icon.
  2. Select Course from the dropdown list to open the list of active courses/subjects you have access to.
  3. Click on a course/subject from the list of courses to switch to the Teacher Gateway for the selected course/subject.
  4. Repeat the steps above to switch to another course/subject if you have access to multiple courses/subjects.

 

NOTE: If the Course option is missing from the dropdown list in Step two (2), it means that you do not have access to any active course/subject, contact your school administrator.

The Level Gateway

The Level Gateway is available to only class/level teachers.

To access the Level Gateway follow the steps below:

  1. From the top navigation icons, click on the Switch icon.
  2. Select Level from the dropdown list to open the list of active classes/levels you have access to.
  3. Click on a level from the list of levels to switch to the Level Gateway for the selected level.
  4. Repeat the steps above to switch to another level if you have access to multiple levels.

 

NOTE: If the Level option is missing from the dropdown list in Step two (2), it means that you do not have access to any active level. Contact your school administrator.

The Programme Gateway

The Programme Gateway is available to only programme teachers.

To access the Programme Gateway follow the steps below:

  1. From the top navigation icons, click on the Switch icon.
  2. Select Programme from the dropdown list to open the list of active programmes you have access to.
  3. Click on a programme from the list of levels to switch to the Programme Gateway for the selected programme.
  4. Repeat the steps above to switch to another programme if you have access to multiple programmes.

 

NOTE: If the Programme option is missing from the dropdown list in Step two (2), it means that you do not have access to any active programme. Contact your school administrator.

The Parent Gateway

The Parent Gateway is available to only parents.

To access the Parent Gateway follow the steps below:

  1. From the top navigation icons, click on the Switch icon.
  2. Select Child from the dropdown list to open the list of active children you have access to.
  3. Click on a child from the list of children to switch to the Parent Gateway for the selected child.
  4. Repeat the steps above to switch to another child if you have access to multiple children.

 

NOTE: If the Child option is missing from the dropdown list in Step two (2), it means that you do not have access to any active child. Contact your school administrator.

The Student Gateway

The Student Gateway is available to mentors.

To access the Student Gateway follow the steps below:

  1. From the top navigation icons, click on the Switch icon.
  2. Select Student from the dropdown list to open the list of active students you have access to.
  3. Click on a student from the list of students to switch to the Student Gateway for the selected student.
  4. Repeat the steps above to switch to another student if you have access to multiple students.

 

NOTE: If the Student option is missing from the dropdown list in Step two (2), it means that you do not have access to any active student. Contact your school administrator.

Concluding notes

Sometimes the dropdown list might be empty because your login session has timed out. You can refresh the page using the refresh button and try again.

If only a subsection of the dropdown list shows on step two (2) of the outlined steps it means you don’t have the required access for the missing gateway.
