Assisting Teacher Management

In some cases, there will be more than one teacher in charge of the administration of a course/subject. There might even be one teacher but several other people assisting in the administration of the courses.

In such cases, the teacher who has been assigned to the course/subject can also add other teachers and assign different access rights to these teachers to help with the administration of the course/subject.

Note that only teachers in the same school as the course/subject being administered can be added as assisting teachers.

Creating additional teachers

To add a teacher follow the steps below:

  1. From the Teacher Gateway of the selected course/subject click on Teachers -> Create menu path to open the Teacher form.
  2. Fill out the form, click on the save button and confirm your action to add the teacher to the current course/subject.
  3. Repeat the above steps to add more teachers and click on the Cancel button to close the form when completed.

Creating additional teachers

  • Name: The name of the teacher, this will normally match the name of the selected teacher. This is only used within the current course/subject and has no effect on the school’s configuration.
  • Teacher: Select the teacher you want to add to the course. In case the desired teacher is not on the list of teachers, speak to your school’s administrator.
  • Access: Select the access rights that you want to grant to the selected teacher. This will determine the actions that the selected teacher can perform in the current course/subject.
  • Attribute: A key-value pair information field is available for adding any information desired.
  • Description (optional): A short description for this period if any.

Editing or removing additional teacher

To edit/remove a teacher follow the steps below:

  1. From the Teacher Gateway of the selected course/subject click on Teachers -> Edit menu path to open the list of additional teachers.
  2. To Edit a teacher, click on that teacher from the list, make your changes and click on save button to save.
  3. To remove a teacher, select the desired teacher through the check box, click on the remove button at the top right, and confirm your action to remove the teacher.

Concluding notes

Not that assisting teacher management does not depend on the selected period. This means that an assisting teacher has access to the course at all periods.
